Genève, 2025

Geneva – August 2025

As every summer, I spent a few days in Geneva. It’s a city I really enjoy and, in my opinion, it’s underrated for street photography. People always talk about Paris, New York, London or Rome, but hardly ever about Geneva. Yet the city has incredible energy and a very enthusiastic youth.

The Bains des Pâquis are a must: a perfect spot to shoot, enjoy the sun, and watch young people dive into the lake. The Jonction district is another key location. On weekends, it’s full of life along the Rhône – barbecues, drinks, jumps from the bridge, or just floating downstream hoping not to miss the exit.

I was also lucky to witness a unique event on the Rhône: rafts built from recycled materials, covered with LGBTQ+ and pro-Palestinian slogans, tattoos, colours, and music. A festive yet politically engaged atmosphere, perfect for photography.

Between the city, the lake, and the river, Geneva definitely deserves a place among the great street photography destinations. Everyone should spend at least a few days here, camera in hand.

Berlin, 2025

Berlin – July 2023

At the end of July, I went to Berlin for a photo weekend with a photographer friend from the US. I brought my Leica M6 and two 35mm films: Kodak Tmax 100 for black and white, and Kodak Pro Image 100 for color.

In two days, we walked more than 60 km across the city. Lots of walking, a few beers, pretzels, and of course, kebabs. The idea was simple: wander, observe, and photograph whatever came our way.

Berlin is a surprising city, full of energy. There’s a dynamic youth, and a kind of well-organized chaos that can be felt in the streets, in the neighborhoods, and in the way the city lives every day.

The Tmax gave me strong contrasts in the bright summer light, while the Pro Image delivered softer tones, perfect for street scenes and the summer atmosphere.

No specific plan, just the pleasure of walking, sharing the experience with a friend, and photographing Berlin as I saw it.

Iceland, 2025

For the street photographer, Reykjavik is a poetic playground: long shadows, expressive faces, and scenes bathed in soft northern light. Nestled between sea and mountains, the city reveals its beauty in the details — colorful rooftops, minimalist design, and slanting light. In June, the sun barely sets, flooding the streets with a gentle, continuous glow. The Icelanders, quiet yet warm, fill the cafés with vibrant façades often adorned with local art. Nature is everywhere — in the crisp air, the city birds, and the constant sense that the ocean is never far.

Paris, street photography, June 2025

Paris, juin 2025, rue de Rivoli, rue Saint-Antoine, avenue de l’Opéra.

The weather has been nice in Paris for a while now, and I wanted to shoot some color film (Kodak Portra 160) to break the routine. I don’t even remember when I started shooting my street photos in black and white, it’s been so long. I walked around Paris for a long time, with a road that allows me to shoot in both directions while the sun is on the side and that maximizes my chances of creating interesting situations.
